Trim & Small Carpentry Repairs — South Hills, PA
Trim work is where a house looks cared for or neglected. Gapped baseboard, split casing, crown pulling away from the ceiling, a loose stair tread that clicks every time you use it — these are exactly the jobs bigger outfits skip and homeowners live with for years.
What this covers
- Baseboard, shoe and quarter round
- Door and window casing repair or replacement
- Crown molding sections reset and re-caulked
- Loose or squeaking stair treads and handrails
- Chair rail, wainscot patches and transitions
- Rotted exterior trim boards cut out and replaced
What I don't do
- Full-house trim packages on new construction
- Custom built-in cabinetry from scratch
- Structural framing changes
When a job needs a licensed specialist, I'll tell you straight instead of guessing.

Trim & Carpentry questions
- Can you match my existing trim profile?
- Usually yes. Most South Hills homes use stock profiles still sold locally. If yours is discontinued, I'll show you the closest match before installing anything.
- Do you caulk and fill the nail holes?
- Always. Trim isn't finished until the seams are caulked and the holes are filled and sanded smooth for paint.
